Advanced Feature Network Packet Broker with Deduplication
1U NPB with 56 Ports
Garland Technology’s Advanced Features Network Packet Brokers with Deduplication deliver advanced packet processing, deduplication, and intelligent filtering in a high-density platform. These Advanced Features NPBs are built to extend the feature set of existing packet brokers, security tools, and monitoring tools.
Garland Technology’s AF25G80DAC and AF25G80DDC is a NPB that supports up to 20Gigbaits of deduplication. Duplicate packets are one of those things that happen in a busy IT network, especially if relying on SPAN mirroring. Although using different network equipment and optimizing your network will minimize duplicates, they’ll still crop up on a fairly regular basis. This can be a problem for your monitoring tools, because analyzing duplicate packets can take up their processing resources while also throwing off your analytics. A Deduplication Network Packet Broker remediates this issue by finding and removing duplicate packets before they can reach your analytics tools.
There are no additional per-port license fees and it is compatible with MSA compliant SFP+/ QSFP+ pluggables/transceivers.

Key Features
- Ports support connection speeds of 1G, 10G, 25G, 40G, and 100G
- (48) SFP28 1/10/25G Ports and (8) QSFP28 Ports 100G/40G/4x25G/4x10G
- (8) QSFP28 Ports can be 100G or 40G or 4x25G or 4x10G
- Support up to 20Gigbaits of Deduplication
- Five (5) pre-defined Deduplication settings: Easy set-up of common Deduplication scenarios like adding IPV4 header with a touch of button in the GUI
- De-sensitive data masking: Mask confidential information contained within Layers 2, 3, and 4 (e.g., zero out personal information like a personal identification number before sending to a connected network tool)
- Internal virtual ports: iLoops ports create up to 24 additional ports that are internal (virtual) and allow actions to be created at those ports (actions such as filtering, Deduplication, encapsulation)
- View quantity of duplicates: Quick view right in the GUI of the Advanced Features of how many duplicate packets are occurring
- Monitor capture: On demand view of the last 1000 packets that pass through a port
- No subscription, port, feature, software, or license fees
- Aggregate, filter, load balance to a single or multiple tools
- Accepts connections from SPAN and Network TAPs
- Support each port running at full line rate
- Start and terminate remote GRE, L2GRE Tunnel connections
- Start and terminate remote VLAN, VXLAN Tunnel connections
- Supports both IPv4 and IPv6 for all features (Filtering, Load Balancing, Management)
- Management GUI that is effective and simple to use
- Dual power supplies
- Durable metal chassis
Benefits
- Reduce the processing load of monitoring tools by removing duplicate packets introduced by SPAN ports
- Extend the life and ROI of monitoring tools
- Reduce network complexity
- Enable infrastructure upgrades
- Facilitate traffic growth
- No hidden costs because all advanced features and ports are included without license fees
- No vendor lock-in with multi-source agreement on transceivers
