Garland Technology’s Network TAP and Packet Broker hybrids combine our high-quality Network TAPs with our high-density Packet Brokers. Enjoy Network TAP visibility with Packet Broker functionality like filtering, aggregation and load balancing. Streamlining modern visibility fabrics to save rack space and budget, spend providing network tools the ultimate in traffic visibility optimization.
The Network TAP Packet Broker Hybrids provide full duplex TAP visibility, critical for out-of-band monitoring. The packet broker functionality provides traffic aggregation, layer 2-4 filtering, session/flow aware load balancing and configurable hash-based load balancing, utilization alerts, as well as the ability for remote management. Of course, similar to all Garland Technology product, there are no license or port fees - ever.

Benefits
- Space saving design with TAPs and Packet Broker in a single chassis
- In a single device (in a 1U space), you can TAP up to 4 links and broker the copies out the 32 SFP/SFP+ ports and the 4 QSFP+ ports in the same device
- Multiple monitoring and security tools receive the same copies of traffic
- Packet Broker ports can be input or output ports
- Reduce the quantity of monitor links to a number that is more manageable for the out of band network tool or tools
- Security and monitoring tools receive 100% of the packets
- No dropped packets ensuring reliable visibility
- Free up ports on an existing (and possibly expensive) Network Packet Broker
- Achieve greater ROI out of deployed 1G tools
- Reduce network complexity
- Enable infrastructure upgrades
- Facilitate traffic growth
- Deliver relevant traffic to tools
- Compatible with MSA compliant SFP+ and QSFP+ transceivers
