Seeking an easy solution to send SPAN traffic to out-of-band monitoring tools? Garland Technology’s Portable-Configurable hardware data diode is a fast and flexible option.
The Portable-Configurable hardware data diode is engineered for critical infrastructure networks with 10/100/1000M (1G) network speeds and SPAN connections. It enforces one-way data flow for SPAN links with physical hardware separation inside protecting against inbound cyber threats.
Three (3) configurable modes give users the capability to monitor traffic using multiple connected tools. Regenerate (1) SPAN input three times to three separate tools. Aggregate (3) SPAN inputs to one tool. Aggregate (2) SPAN inputs twice to two tools. All by simply adjusting the dip switches on the back of the hardware data diode.

Key Features
- Physical hardware separation ensures unidirectional traffic between network connections
- Ports A and B are Copper RJ-45 Ports
- Ports C and D are SFP Ports
- Supports 10/100/1000M (1G) network speeds
- Supports SPAN aggregation and SPAN regeneration
- Easy Plug & Play installation
- No configuration required
- No IP address, no Mac address
- No subscription, port, feature, software, or license fees
- Durable, metal chassis
- Single power supply
- DIN Rail mount available
Benefits
- Ensures any ethernet packet flows in one direction out the monitoring ports
- Maintain network integrity for industrial network monitoring and security without exposing additional risk
- Protect the source of data streams like switch SPAN ports between network segments that have different security requirements
- No risk of software failure
- Keep OT networks compliant with industry regulations
- Small form factor for space constrained deployments
- Affordable pricing (when compared to software-based data diodes)
